I was driving along the M56 to work this morning, and there was the most gorgeous, spectacular rainbow I’ve seen in ages. “Oooh,” I thought, “I’ve got the camera in the car with me, and there’s a lay-by coming up. Maybe I’ll get a nice picture of it.”
Except, of course, I put a black and white film in the blimmin’ camera yesterday, and didn’t finish it. Bah. And I can’t really justify a second body, either. “f/8 and be there” – helps if you have the right film, too. Buggerations.
Hi, popping over from D4D… I spotted your comment about a surround system for your TV.. well if you aren’t a techno-snob may I suggest you visit a local Safeway. I bought a DVD player with integrated Dolby Pro Logic surround system and speakers for £120 – it’s excellent value for money…
Of course if you are a techno-snob get that nice Sony system, the one I drool over in Comet..
Techno-snob? Oh dear, you have *no* idea 🙂 Any surround system I get will come from a specialist hi-fi place, not Curry’s or anything 🙂 I’ve been poring over a couple of decoders/receivers on Richer Sounds’ webpage, and I’ll probably build the speakers up as I can afford them (fronts first, rears, then sub last). I’m the kind of person who believes in keeping 10% of your budget aside for just cabling and interconnects…
